What is CCTV?

CCTV (Closed Circuit Television) is your own private system that does not broadcast to anyone else but you. 

Are CCTV systems expensive?

There are plenty of cheap DIY systems out there, but we don’t compete with these low-end systems that have a high failure rate. We believe that our systems are cost effective and fit for purpose, and all our bespoke systems come with a cast iron 12-month parts and labour warranty, and a further 12-month warranty on parts.  

How do I choose the right camera?

The quick answer here is you don’t. Here at Churchill Ltd we assess your needs and building by drawing on 30 years of experience installing CCTV to get it right the first time. Simply, there are “no one box fits all” solutions because every client is unique, and we make bespoke solutions. Book a free site survey today.  

How long does a CCTV system take to install?

This depends on the size of your building so we would need to do an individual assessment. But, as an example: installation on a 3-bed semi-detached property is usually around a day. 

What guarantee do Churchill Security ltd provide on the cameras?

Our systems come with a cast iron 12 months parts and labour warranty and a further 12 months warranty on CCTV equipment. 

Do the cameras work in the dark?

Yes, most of the range of cameras we provide have smart infrared built into the camera unit. This means at night the cameras infrared activates to improve the image in low light levels. 

Can I check the status of the CCTV if I am not there?

Yes, all our NVR/DVR can connect through your broadband provider, and with an easy to use app on your smartphone or computer, it can be easy to see what’s going on. 

Are the cameras easy to maintain?

Yes, there is nothing to maintain apart from a wipe down every 2-3 months to keep the camera lens glass clean. We can also supply SpiderEx to keep those little beasts from making cobwebs on your cameras.  

Who do I call if the CCTV alarm stops working?

Always call us – we fit it so we fix it. We have been trading in the security sector for 30 years, by looking after our customers, most of our business comes through recommendation. 

Can I provide a copy of an incident to the police if required?

Yes, smartphones and apps make it so much easier to do these tasks that were once a little bit harder to achieve. 

Can CCTV reduce crime?

Yes, anything that makes the intruder uncomfortable will make deter them from the property.  

Can I have extra cameras?

Yes! We normally suggest not fitting to full capacity so for example if you want a 4-camera system, we will offer a larger capacity NVR (networked video recorder) but the choice is yours of course.
